Privacy Policy for Sisco's Guitar Apps

Effective and last updated: August 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to Sisco's Guitar Trainer, Sisco's Guitar Tuner, and the guitartrainer.ai website (collectively, the “Services”). Wade Sisco is the individual developer responsible for personal information directly collected through the Services. This page also contains the separate End User License Agreement and Terms of Use for both apps at the end.

1. The Apps Covered by This Policy

Sisco's Guitar Trainer is an iPhone and iPad guitar-learning app with augmented reality fretboard guidance, scales, chords, note matching, and practice tools. Sisco's Guitar Tuner is an iPhone tuner that listens to an instrument, measures pitch, provides tuning guidance, supports multiple instrument and tuning configurations, and may offer custom visual backgrounds. Neither app requires you to create a developer account.

2. Information You Choose to Provide

If you contact us through the website, we receive the email address you use and the contents of your message. We use that information to respond, provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain necessary business or legal records. We do not subscribe you to marketing without your request, and we do not sell your support message.

Sisco's Guitar Tuner may let you choose a photo as a custom background. The selected image is copied into the app's local storage on your device. It is not intentionally uploaded to our servers or provided to advertising services by this feature. You can replace or remove it through the app or by deleting the app.

3. Camera, Motion, and Augmented Reality

Sisco's Guitar Trainer may request camera access to place guitar fretboard patterns in augmented reality and may use device motion to support spatial placement and visual effects. Camera frames, finger-placement analysis, and motion data used for these features are processed on the device. We do not intentionally record or upload camera video, finger-tracking data, or raw motion data to our servers. You can deny or revoke camera access in iOS Settings; features that require the camera will then be unavailable.

4. Microphone and On-Device Pitch Processing

Sisco's Guitar Tuner uses the microphone to measure the pitch of live instrument audio and display tuning guidance. Sisco's Guitar Trainer may also use the microphone for live note matching and related practice features. Microphone input is analyzed locally in real time. The apps do not intentionally save, upload, or retain raw microphone recordings, and raw audio is not intentionally provided to advertising or analytics services. You can deny or revoke microphone access in iOS Settings; audio-dependent features will then be unavailable.

5. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The apps may store preferences and app state locally, including selected tunings or instruments, custom tuning definitions, microphone sensitivity, visual settings, practice settings, progress, unlock or entitlement state, legal-agreement acceptance, ad-reward status, and ad-rotation state. This information normally remains on the device and may be included in device backups. You can remove it by using available in-app controls, deleting the applicable custom item, or uninstalling the app, subject to iOS backup behavior.

6. Diagnostics, Usage, Advertising, and Measurement

Apple and integrated service providers may process app launches, screens or features used, ad impressions and interactions, purchase events, device type, operating-system and app version, IP address, approximate location inferred from the IP address, identifiers where permitted, crash reports, diagnostics, and performance data. This information may be pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous. It is used to operate, secure, debug, measure, and improve the apps and their advertising.

Both apps may use Google AdMob to display or measure advertising. Sisco's Guitar Trainer may also use Meta technologies, including Facebook App Events, to measure app installs, launches, purchases, checkout activity, and campaign performance. These providers may receive technical, advertising, diagnostic, interaction, and event information under their own policies. Purchase events may include product, value, currency, or entitlement status, but we do not receive or send your Apple payment-card details.

Google explains its data practices in Google's Privacy Policy and its page about apps and sites that use Google services. Meta explains its practices in the Meta Privacy Policy and Meta Business Tools Terms. Camera frames, raw microphone audio, locally analyzed pitch, a user-selected tuner background, and raw AR finger-tracking data are not intentionally sent to Google or Meta by those app features.

7. Purchases and App Store Services

Apple processes app downloads, in-app purchases, restores, billing, payment credentials, and refunds under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We may receive an entitlement or transaction status needed to unlock a purchased feature, but we do not receive your full payment-card details. Deleting an app does not necessarily cancel a subscription if a subscription is offered; use Apple's subscription controls when applicable.

8. Website and Hosting Data

When you visit guitartrainer.ai, our hosting provider may record standard server-log information such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, requested page, timestamp, and security events. This information is used for delivery, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and basic traffic measurement. The website does not intentionally use the Meta Pixel.

9. Website Analytics and Consent

With your permission, guitartrainer.ai uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors find and use the website. Google Analytics may process information such as the pages viewed, page titles and URLs, visit and interaction times, referring pages, browser and device characteristics, approximate location derived from an IP address, and analytics identifiers or cookies. Google processes this information under its own Privacy Policy.

Analytics storage is denied by default until you select Allow analytics. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain denied. You may decline analytics or change your choice at any time by selecting Privacy choices at the bottom of the website. Your preference is saved in your browser so the site can honor it on later visits.

10. How Information Is Used

Information described in this policy may be used to:

  • Provide guitar training, AR, tuning, pitch analysis, customization, purchases, and support features.
  • Save your device-local settings and restore eligible purchased access.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and improve reliability.
  • Measure app use, advertising, installs, purchases, and campaign performance.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
  • Comply with law and protect users, the Developer, and the Services.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain advertising or measurement disclosures as “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged. Where applicable, we honor relevant device, platform, consent, and legally required request choices.

11. Your Choices

  • Manage camera and microphone permissions in iOS Settings.
  • Manage Apple analytics, advertising, and App Tracking Transparency choices in iOS Settings.
  • Manage Google ad preferences through Google's available advertising controls.
  • Manage Meta ad preferences and activity shared by apps and websites through your Meta account settings.
  • Use the website's Privacy choices control to allow, decline, or reconsider Google Analytics measurement.
  • Remove locally stored app data by using available controls or uninstalling the app, subject to backups and App Store purchase records.
  • Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information directly controlled by the Developer, subject to applicable exceptions.

12. Data Retention and Security

Temporary camera, motion, and raw-audio processing ends with the applicable on-device session. Device-local settings remain until removed by the app, erased by you, or deleted when the app is uninstalled, subject to backups. Support messages are retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, prevent abuse, keep appropriate business records, or meet legal obligations. Advertising, measurement, platform, hosting, and diagnostic providers retain information under their own policies.

We use reasonable safeguards for information directly under our control, including HTTPS for this website. No storage or transmission method is perfectly secure, so we also minimize the information we directly collect.

13. Children's Privacy

The apps are designed as general-audience music tools. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Services, contact us and we will review and delete it as required by law. Third-party app-store and advertising services apply their own age, consent, and account rules.

14. Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or information about certain disclosures, and to object to or opt out of certain processing. These rights may be subject to identity verification and legal exceptions. Because camera, microphone, pitch, motion, and most preference data remain on your device, we may not possess that information to retrieve or delete it for you.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy when the apps, website, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice where required.

16. Privacy Contact

For privacy questions or requests concerning either app, use the Contact us link or visit the Contact section.

Separate Software Terms

End User License Agreement & Terms of Use

Effective: July 20, 2026 · Agreement version 2026-07-20

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY.

These Terms apply to Sisco's Guitar Trainer, Sisco's Guitar Tuner, and related software and digital content developed or distributed by Wade Sisco as an individual (the “Developer”). An app-specific notice controls if it conflicts with these general Terms.

Apple-distributed software remains subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement, and do not replace or conflict with, mandatory Apple terms or non-waivable consumer rights.

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

By tapping “I Agree,” or by downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing, or using either app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you. Acceptance is not consent to optional tracking or access to camera, microphone, photos, or other protected resources; those choices are requested separately.

2. Limited License

Subject to these Terms and platform rules, the Developer grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use the apps on compatible devices you own or control for personal, educational, or internal non-commercial use. The apps are licensed, not sold. Family Sharing and similar platform features are permitted only as authorized by the platform.

3. Ownership and Intellectual Property

The Developer or applicable licensors own the apps and their protectable source code, object code, architecture, algorithms, workflows, documentation, interfaces, layouts, interaction designs, artwork, themes, animation, audio, three-dimensional models, augmented-reality overlays, educational materials, exercises, fretboard patterns, tuning configurations, branding, and updates. Protected implementation details include audio and pitch analysis, note and chord detection, finger tracking, fretboard recognition, motion processing, spatial mapping, calibration, AR placement, and visualization methods. Third-party materials remain owned by their licensors. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Except where applicable law expressly permits an activity despite this restriction, you may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, publicly display, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt, extract, scrape, bypass security, remove notices, or create an unauthorized clone, reskin, port, derivative, or substantially similar reproduction of an app or its protected expression. You may not use app code, assets, confidential implementation details, educational content, audiovisual material, or outputs to train, fine-tune, test, benchmark, improve, or supply data to an AI or machine-learning system without prior written permission. This does not prohibit lawful independent development that does not copy protected expression, bypass security, or misuse confidential information.

5. User Content and Feedback

You retain ownership of content you lawfully own, including a photo you choose as a tuner background. You are responsible for ensuring your content and use do not violate law or another person's rights. You grant only the limited rights reasonably necessary to process content for a feature you request. Voluntary suggestions, ideas, and bug reports may be used for any lawful purpose without compensation or obligation.

6. Features, Purchases, Advertising, and Third Parties

Features may change, require updates, or be discontinued. Compatibility, uninterrupted operation, and continued availability are not guaranteed. Apple or another store generally controls billing, renewal, cancellation, taxes, payment credentials, and refunds. Deleting an app does not necessarily cancel a subscription. Advertising, rewarded access, third-party services, SDKs, websites, hardware, and content are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Safety and Accuracy

Camera, AR, spatial, motion, and audio features may distract you. Use them only in a safe, adequately lit, unobstructed place. Stay aware of traffic, stairs, people, pets, furniture, instruments, strings, cables, amplifiers, and stands. Do not use an app while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing anything requiring full attention. Stop if you experience discomfort, dizziness, eyestrain, disorientation, hearing discomfort, or unsafe conditions. Keep audio at a safe level.

Pitch, note, chord, tuning, finger-placement, camera, motion, and spatial detection may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate because of noise, tuning, technique, instrument harmonics, lighting, camera angle, latency, occlusion, reflections, or hardware. The apps are educational and entertainment tools. They do not guarantee musical progress, professional tuning accuracy, or a particular result, and they do not replace qualified instruction or professional instrument service.

8. Termination

This license ends automatically if you materially violate these Terms. Access may be suspended when reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, fraud, security risks, infringement, abuse, nonpayment, platform requirements, or material breach. On termination, stop using and delete the app, except for inaccessible automatic backups. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APPS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS,” “AS AVAILABLE,” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS.” THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPATIBILITY, SECURITY, AND ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. NOTHING HERE LIMITS A NON-WAIVABLE CONSUMER RIGHT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OPPORTUNITY, OR GOODWILL; BUSINESS INTERRUPTION; OR DEVICE, EQUIPMENT, PERSONAL, INSTRUMENT, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM AN APP OR THESE TERMS. TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE APPLICABLE APP OR FEATURE DURING THE PRECEDING TWELVE MONTHS OR US $50. THIS DOES NOT LIMIT LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED.

11. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Wade Sisco harmless from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use, violation of these Terms, or content infringing another person's rights. This does not require indemnification for the Developer's own unlawful conduct, negligence, or breach where prohibited by law.

12. Export, Law, and Venue

You may not use or transfer an app in violation of United States export control, sanctions, or other applicable laws. Except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise, Nevada law governs these Terms, and court proceedings will be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Clark County, Nevada. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

13. Changes and General Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in an app, law, security, platform requirements, or business practices. Material changes will receive reasonable notice where required, and renewed acceptance will be requested when appropriate. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remainder continues. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

14. Privacy

The Privacy Policy above explains relevant data practices. Acceptance of these Terms acknowledges that the policy was presented; it is not consent to optional tracking, personalized advertising, camera access, microphone access, photo access, or other protected permissions.
